Hey Pretty Girl - Kip Moore
It doesn't seem like many people have heard of this song, but it is definitely worth learning! I received this request from someone who was wanting to play it to propose to his girlfriend. I hadn't heard it before then, but I can see why he chose this song. Here's a link to the version he asked me to teach: Hey Pretty Girl recording. The alternate tuning used in this song adds a really nice effect.

This is a great song to push you to the next level with your hybrid picking. The hybrid picking is fairly difficult and so is the syncopated rhythm. This lesson is recommended for pickers that have been playing guitar for about five to ten years.

This lesson is part III in a series of lessons where I teach how to play lead guitar up and down the guitar neck. We'll go over some guitar licks built around the 3rd position of the E minor pentatonic scale. The tablature for these riffs is embedded within the video. You'll learn techniques that will help you convert your bag of licks to dynamic guitar solos that travel all over the guitar neck!

Better Than I Used To Be is a great song to learn if you enjoy playing and singing. It's really catchy and most people have probably heard this one. Not a bad song to pull out for your friends. It's not terribly difficult, but it's a great one to learn to practice vocals.
